Max works as a freelance designer and programmer in opera, dance and theatre.

For Hugh Vanstone; The Birthday Party (Harold Pinter), Venus in Fur (Theatre Royal Haymarket), Future Conditional (Old Vic), Closer (Donmar), Soho Cinders (Soho), Birthday (Royal Court). His own lighting designs include; Pop – Circus Festival (Roundhouse), Napoli Milionaria (Milton Court, Barbican), The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other (Silk Street, Barbican), Hamlet (Milton Court, Barbican), See What I See (St Clements Hospital). Max is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama receiving the Gold Medal Award.
